I feel that immigration to the United States was helpful and even today it is helpful. There have been lot of anti-immigrant views that says they are bad for economy or they destroy the American identity, etc. But these views are baseless. It is important to understand why they are baseless. First of all we should know why immigrants came to the United States. Many looked for new job opportunities and better standard of life which mean they were not getting what they wanted within their society so the point that they would not assimilate in American society is baseless because everybody knows that to be successfully settle in a new place one needs to adapt to that new environment.
